FAQ
Are barefoot and grounding shoes the same?
No. Barefoot describes shape and movement. Grounding describes conductive construction. The Galvanic brings both ideas together.
How does GroundSynapse™ work?
A conductive lasting board and strategically placed carbon-polymer components are designed to form an electrical pathway between your foot and conductive ground. Contact and environmental conditions affect the connection.
Does every surface allow grounding?
No. Surface material, coatings, moisture, and connection to the earth affect conductivity. Carpet, rubber flooring, and many other indoor surfaces may interrupt the pathway. Appearance alone cannot confirm conductivity.
What about socks?
Socks add a layer between skin and the shoe. Material, thickness, moisture, and contact can affect resistance. Do not assume every sock preserves a connection; the actual shoe and sock combination needs to be checked.
Can I add insoles or orthotics?
An insert may change contact with the conductive construction and interrupt the pathway. Ask OMSTEP about your specific insert before assuming compatibility. Fit and conductivity are separate considerations.
Is the total stack height 4 mm?
The stated 4 mm measurement describes the outsole. It should not be treated as the total height of every layer under the foot.
What does zero drop mean?
Heel and forefoot sit at the same height.
How should I care for the shoes?
Follow the care instructions supplied with your pair. Ask OMSTEP before machine washing or removing internal components.
Where can I get help with fit or my order?
